Follow-up Research proposal titled "DGAPS" nominated by Vice Chancellor for XIII Pro Futura Scientia call
The work conducted as part to this project on environmental governance, participatory processes and the role of social actors (ENGOs, civil society etc.), now published in several scientific journal articles, led to results that contributed to refine analytical frameworks used and that have pointed to new questions of research interest. With the intent to further develop research on this line of inquiry, and refine the analytical tools used in "Env Gov in Context", R. Rodela summarized novel research ideas in a follow-up proposal titled DGAPS – (Disruption and GAPS Filling: an inquiry into knowledge generation practices and impact by environmental groups and their performance) which is focused on ENGOs work on knowledge production practices in biodiversity governance.
In December 2017 DGAPS was shortlisted and nominated by the Vice Chancellor of the Södertörn University for the 2018 Pro Futura Scientia XIII call, a national award in research excellence in the Humanities and Social Sciences by RJ & SCAS that in 2018 saw a pool of with 32 nominees. As from June 2018 we know that DGAPS was not selected for funding, however, we keep working on these ideas and are now searching for further opportunities to continue this research.
